🐾In-Home Puppy & Dog Training Tailored to You
At Dale for Dogs, we believe that the best training happens right in your home, where your dog lives, learns, and feels most comfortable.
Unlike generic group classes, our one-on-one sessions are personalised to suit:
Your family’s goals
Your lifestyle
Your living environment
🐶 Why In-Home Dog Training Works Better
Every dog is different — and that matters. We consider:
Your dog’s personality and temperament
Breed-specific traits
Stage of development (puppy, adolescent, or adult)
🦷 Stopping Puppy Biting & Destructive Chewing
When your puppy first comes home, biting and chewing are completely normal — especially during teething. But without the right guidance, those playful nibbles can quickly turn into painful, unwanted behavior.
🚽 Toilet Training for Puppies & Dogs
Bringing home a new puppy? One of the first (and most important!) things to get right is toilet training.
Establishing good bathroom habits early is crucial. Why? Because dogs develop patterns and associations quickly — and what they learn in those first few weeks sticks for life.
🔊 Tired of Excessive Barking? We Can Help.
All dogs bark — it’s how they communicate.
But when barking becomes constant, loud, or triggered by seemingly everything, it can quickly lead to frustration, neighbour complaints, and stress in the home.
Whether your dog is barking to get your attention, out of boredom, or due to separation anxiety, we help you understand the cause — and take back control.
🎓 Basic Obedience & Command Training
Whether you’ve just brought home a new puppy or you’re looking to improve your adult dog’s manners, our Basic Command Training is designed to set your dog up for lifelong success.
We focus on building clear communication, confidence, and control — in a way that’s easy for your dog to understand and fun for you to practice.
🚫 Stop Your Dog from Jumping Up — Before It Becomes a Bigger Problem
Jumping might seem harmless or even cute when your puppy is small — but fast forward a few months, and a medium or large dog jumping on guests, kids, or strangers can quickly become unsafe and embarrassing.
What your dog practices at home, they’ll repeat in public — which is why early intervention is key.
🐾 Puppy Health, Safety & Socialisation
Give your puppy the best possible start with our all-round guidance on dog health, safety, and early development. From setting up a secure home to building confidence through positive socialisation, we cover everything you need to raise a happy, well-adjusted companion.
We help you create a safe, stress-free environment in those crucial early weeks and provide expert advice on avoiding separation anxiety, building routine, and introducing your pup to new people, places, and pets — all at the right pace.
Our holistic approach ensures your puppy grows into a calm, confident dog, ready to enjoy the world around them.
🚶♂️ Enjoy Peaceful Walks
Walking your puppy should be a calm and enjoyable part of your day — not a battle for control. Our loose-lead walking training is designed to teach your dog how to walk politely by your side, without pulling, lunging, or dragging you along.
We typically recommend starting leash training from around 5 months of age, depending on your puppy’s breed and individual development. By setting clear expectations early, you’ll build lifelong walking habits that keep outings safe, stress-free, and enjoyable for both of you.
“Dale is a life saver. I was at my wits end with my 16 week old pup who was running the household and using our apartment as his own personal bathroom. After just one visit from Dale, I see a massive difference. The skills are easy to pick up and follow. Thank you so much Dale.”
